YAK-1 is an IDC (Insulation Displacement Contact) type connector which gives you a gas tight connection for the jointing of 2 wires, without the need of stripping, screwing or soldering. During crimping , the U-Contact clamps down on the wire, strips the insulation and grips the conductor. |

The U-Contact provides a spring-energy which maintains high contact presure, low contact resistance, and long-term reliability.
In one continuous action with Yak-8 Crimping Tool, easy, fast and reliable connection is completed for any two conductor combinations of 0,35-0,8 mm (27-20 AWG) with a maximum outer diameter of 1,52 mm (0,06 in)
YAK-1 Connector is filled with a corrosion-resistant sealant, which protects connected conductors and U-contacts against water and moisture, thus extending the life of the connection.
Dry, flame retardant Yak-1D and Yak-1F connectors manufactured with UL 94V-0 flame retardant material are applicable for butt splicing of pulp and paper cable. |
