Kunt Elektronik was established in 1955. After the decision to diversify its effort into the Telecom sector in the late 60's, Kunt started to manufacture telephone network accessories for Northern Telecom in Turkey.
In 1975 - with the production of overvoltage protector systems, cross connection cabinets and screw type terminals for the needs of Turkish Telecom - Kunt has been successfully introducing its Outside Plant product line to the Telecom sector.
The experience gained in the local Outside Plant segment, accelerated the development of new, improved and reliable products. As a result, Kunt started manufacturing IDC technology cable connectors and added butt type connectors as well as 10, 20 and 25 multipair connectors, specific splicing tools and machinery together with duct fittings for empty cable-channels to be used in manholes in 1988 to its productline.
Throughout the years, the company has been invested in the research and development of new generation products and specialized equipment, as well as in the reorganization of its facilities. Kunt deploys 'State of the Art Technology' in its Manufacturing processes which are supplied from top companies throughout the world.
The expertise built up over the years allowed KUNT A.S by 1988 to become one of the main rival between several world leader companies in terms of reliability and consistent quality.
Kunt opened a new page in its history with the decision to export his product range in the late 80's.
Since 1989, Kunt has started - as OEM supplier - to manufacture terminal block holders, indoor and outdoor distribution boxes and screw type terminals together with a growing variety of related equipments for Ericsson Cables AB; Sweden.

1994, Kunt has been homologated by the "Deutsche Telekom" for the supply of its multipair connector series.
1996, New 'Export Company' - KUNTES - in the free trade zone in Tuzla / Istanbul
1997, Kunt established its trading company KUSTT INC. NY in New York to supply the North American market with its Outside Plant product line.
1998, Kunt Headquarters moved to its new integrated facilities which has a size of 35.000 square meters, located in the Ikitelli Industrial Zone in Istanbul.
1999, SAP Implementation (VERSION R/3) - as strategic administrative decision and support tool
2000, Kunt has been homologated by " Swisscom " for the supply of its multipair connector series
2000, GSM - Turnkey Project Department, Installation and maintenance of Radio Base Stations
Kunt's role as system integrator was and is to lead turnkey GSM Network projects, whereby in particular the deployment of radio base station installations, staging, transmission, comissioning, maintenance of the R/B station and ADSL/HDSL lines are conducted.
2001, Kunt has been homologated by " France Telecom " for the supply of its multipair connector series
2001, Development Project for Deutsche Telekom (CAT 5 / 100 Mb/s High Density Terminal Blocks);
Development Project for Corning USA (Toolless filled Terminal Blocks);

In parallel to his regular operations, Kunt is successfully private labeling as OEM supplier many well known companies worldwide (e.g. Ericsson , Corning, Tyco) whereby its products are sold to various international Telecom Authorities.
